Quilted, raw edge appliqued wall hanging. Quilt is 12 1/2" long by 16 1/2" wide.

This is my interpretation of an eagle landing in a nest with the beautiful sunset in the distance. It may be that my husband and I watch too many shows on Alaska (which I'd love to see in person one day). I love the scenery in all those shows. The colors are so vibrant, especially with the black silhouette of the trees and eagle.

I use only high-quality landscape and batik fabrics. Created by fusing fabric pieces to double-sided fusible interfacing. Once fused and stitched to Pellon Heavy-duty iron-on fusible fleece, a solid border is added with double-sided bias tape around the edges. Backing is solid black cotton fabric, and has a rod pocket sleeve on the back for a dowel to be inserted to be hung. Can also be framed.

This would make a beautiful gift for anyone. But once you see it in person, you're going to want to keep it and hang it where you can see it every day.

Wall quilts may occasionally require cleaning. I find using a lint brush works great to remove dust, but sometimes you need to toss it into the wash. If necessary, wash using a cool, gentle cycle and a mild detergent, and your choice of drying on low heat or lying flat to dry. Ironing may be necessary once dry.
