About Us
A small site for handmade items to be loved and treasured, and passed down for years to come. A husband and wife team, who inspire each other to tap into our creative juices.
Charlene
I've always had a passion for sewing, ever since my first home economics class. Since then my favorite past-time is sewing. I've made everything from Halloween clothes for my children (and now my grandson), my daughter's wedding dress (which she designed), and many, many things for gifts and for the home (curtains, table runners, wall hangings, etc.).
I've done memory quilts - one from t-shirts for a friend whose husband passed away, and one out of baby clothes and special occasion outfits for a woman who saved special pieces for her daughter, and on her 20th birthday had a king-sized memory quilt made for her.
I've made collectible teddy bears out of mohair, and have done memory bears from fur coats.
My newest obsession is creating quilted wall hangings. It allows me to be even more creative and create different scenes using fabric as my paint. It also allows me to show my husband that I’m not a fabric hoarder, they are my “supplies.” Most of my designs are originals unless otherwise stated.
Quality is very important, and each item is made to last years and become family treasures to pass down. My inspiration comes from many sources – nature, art, designs, buildings …. You name it! So please check back often, as I’ll be adding things regularly.
Bob
My husband Bob makes wooden toys. His passion for making toys started almost two years ago when our grandson, Aiden, was born. Pop-pop kept creating more toys for Aiden, until he was told that there just wasn't enough room in the house for all of the things he wanted to make for Aiden. So occasionally I will post some of the toys for sale on this site as well. We'll call that section "Aiden's toybox."
Each wooden toy is made one at a time, with extra care given to assure there are no sharp edges, parts that may come loose, or any chance for getting a splinter. Bob meticulously sands each piece until it is as smooth as glass. Once sanded, they are protected with nontoxic linseed oil. Because each is made individually, no two are exactly the same, each having their own distinctive characteristics because of the grain of the wood.
Aiden has been the "research and development" for the wooden toys, and if they aren't safe enough for Aiden, they aren't safe enough to list on this site. We both believe that creativity comes from unique toys that don't require batteries. The wooden toys are loved by children of all ages. From little children who comment, "they're the kind of toys Santa makes," to the older men who reminisce about their dad or grandfather making these for them, they are the kind of toys loved by all. Ones that will be handed down generation after generation, for years of imaginative play time.
Again, we will be adding these toys whenever possible, so check back often. Also, check out our Etsy Shop at TwoCraftyPiphers. And follow us on Facebook at

Charlene & Bob
