Quilted, raw edge appliqued wall hanging. Quilt is 14” wide and 20” tall.

Hand-appliqued, quilted wall hanging of a wolf howling at the moon. Moon is done in Angelina fibers to give a glistening moon appearance. The sky is a dark blue varigated batik fabric.

My family loves to challenge me by giving me photos and asking if I can make it. I use only high-quality landscape and batik fabrics. Created by fusing fabric pieces to double-sided fusible interfacing. Once fused and stitched to Pellon Heavyduty iron-on fusible fleece, a solid border is added with double-sided bias tape around the edges. Backing is solid black cotton fabric, and has a rod pocket sleeve on the back for a dowel to be inserted to be hung. Can also be framed.

This would make a beautiful gift for anyone. But once you see it in person, you're going to want to keep it and hang it where you can see it every day. The quilt has a different appearance depending on the time of day and what the room lighting is like. It's interesting to see, it seems as if it's always changing.

Wall quilts may occasionally require cleaning. I find using a lint brush works great to remove dust, but sometimes you need to toss it into the wash. If necessary, wash using a cool, gentle cycle and a mild detergent, and your choice of drying on low heat or lying flat to dry. Ironing may be necessary once dry. This quilt has Angelina fibers, which can melt onto your iron, so ironing with a pressing sheet is highly recommended.
